                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 7432 and
                   7438 SHALLOWFORD ROAD, BEING ON THE SOUTHWEST
                   LINE OF SHALLOWFORD ROAD SOUTHEAST OF GUNBARREL
                   ROAD,  FROM R-3 RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO R-4
                   SPECIAL ZONE AND C-2 CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL
                   ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 7432 and 7438
                Shallowford Road, being on the southwest line of
                Shallowford Road southeast of Gunbarrel Road.	  
               
                Tract 1 (to be zoned R-4): The north 600 feet of
                the east 505 feet of Tract E, Final Plan, Tracts
                A-1, A-2, A-3, A-4, B, C, D, and E of the
                Brookshire Subdivision, as shown by plat of record
                in plat book 46, page 137, ROHC; being part of the
                property described in deed book 3938, page 428,
                ROHC, and part of the property described in deed
                book 3588, page 380, ROHC.  Tax Map No. 149H-F-1.1
                (part).
               
                Tract 2 (to be zoned C-2): The south some 703 feet
                of the east 505 feet of Tract E, Final Plan, Tracts
                A-1, A-2, A-3, A-4, B, C, D, and E of the
                Brookshire Subdivision, as shown by plat of record
                in plat book 46, page 137, ROHC; being part of the
                property described in deed book 3938, page 428,
                ROHC, and part of the property described in deed
                book 3588, page 380, ROHC.  Tax Map No. 149H-F-1.1
                (part).
               
               
         from R-3 Residential Zone to R-4 Special Zone and C-2 
Convenience
         Commercial Zone.
        
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         required by law.
